Poll: What's everyones choice for a 6 speed shifter???

Looking for durability, performance, and good feel when rowing through the gears so what's everyone's choice??? I heard the Pro 5.0's are good so are the Hursts...??? Can you guys list what you're currently using and the things you like and dislike about 'em???

Thanks alot.

I'm using a Pro 5.0 with about an inch chopped off the top of the stick. I absolutely love it and could never go back to stock. It has been one of the best if not the best mod I've done. Sorry, but I haven't tried any of the others to compare.

i also have the pro 5.0. but i have to say im not crazy about it like most guys!!! its def. better than stock, but i was expecting something with shorted throws. also my shifter doesnt center itself, kinda annoying, but im sure its just mine that does that!! i had a hurst in my old camaro, and i have to say, i did like it much better! and the pro 5.0 is kinda pricey! just my opinion though.

The guy I bought my car from installed a Hurst shifter into it. I dont believe that its the same shifter that was a factory option on many f-bodies. I've driven a 99 SS with a hurst factory shifter and mine is a whole lot more precise and less notchy. I like it.

A lot of people recommend the pro 5.0 so I doubt you could lose with that shifter either.

Ive got a hurst. Self-centering and short throws. Seen a couple of people break PRo 5.0's right off at the ball. One guy damn near broke his hand on his radio

i have a pro 5.0 but i like my friends billet hurst better. the 5.0 is kinda notchy and noisy but precise. the hurst is nice and smooth without the sound it makes when you pop into gear and just as precise. there are a ton of pro 5.0 fans on this board and i cant say i know of any who have actually driven anything else.. they are all better than stock.

Is there any difference with the stock Hurst that came with certain year FBods and the aftermarket Hurst ones???

What are the prices for each ones?

I've had them all. None of the other ones come even close to the Pro 5.0.

I have a B&M Ripper (it is one of the early ones with the adjustable shift stops) with a SLP/Hurst ****. It is awesome but probably not as surgically precise as the Pro 5.0 units. It is very quiet especially after the Hurst ****.

I have the B&M Ripper and I love it so much more than stock. My friend has a Pro 5.0 in his WS6 and it also feels good. But for the price, I like the B&M.
