POLL: LT1 - C5 Brake Conversion ...

... If you had a GM Perf Parts dealer in your area, and were interested in this conversion, would you pay 1000 bux to have all the parts supplied, work done (while you wait) and guarantee'd?

... or a parts kit supplied, if you wanted to do the work yourself?

I'm not aware of a GM authorized conversion.

The front knuckles (aka spindles, or uprights) have to be modified by cutting off a couple pieces. There are non-GM parts required also. There's a very good chance a dealer would not do this conversion due to liability reasons. If they would, at a typical dealership shop rate, $1000 might be low, IMO.

My $.02
