POLL! Injectors - What should I do about them?

My Car has 111870 Miles on it, or 180000 km.
Its a 1995 Z28 and has had its engine rebuilt once.
I run STP injector additives in my fuel periodically.
The car seems to have bad milage, and doesnt seem to have much power on the low endgoing around 80km/50mi on the hwy when accellerating slowly, but doesn't quite stumble. (It used to before I replaced the fuel pump). Car runs great under load.

Anyhow, I use my Z every day and am wondering what everyone thinks is the next most wise thing to do about my injectors and cleaning them. So, Have a vote at what you think I should do next... Ideally replacing would be the best option but I want to do what is most economical

Another thing would be to have them flow tested.

Take them out (takes 10 minutes). Buy some fuel injection intake cleaner. let them soak in it for a while shake them around and see the gunk that come off. Buy new o-rings and reinstall.... Shouldn't cost you more than 15 bucks or so....

FWIW.. for what it will cost you to take them to the dealership you can buy NEW SVO injectors.

Give the car a tune up. New plugs some new wires, new coil, air filter... etc.. 50 bucks can really go a long way. If you want to do it right get rid of those stock o2 sensors and replace them with new ones from GM (about 45/each). Your car should run much better.

I would do what SVT said. Have you tried the full tune up? If not do that first. I would also check the fuel pressure. When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? That will cost about 20 bucks. If all that fails then try to clean the injectors. If that doesn't work, forget the other options and just buy new ones.

That 3M cleaner that hooks to the shrader valve with your fuel pump fuse pulled is some good stuff, its basicly what the dealers do.

Great Info guys, Thanks for the replies. I've put in a new fuel filter, plugs, Wires, cleaned the k&N already... So its basically just the sensors, Opti, and injectors Left.. The engine and tranny were rebuilt last year. Soaking the injectors in cleaner is OK for them? will it wreck any electrical stuff on it? Thats one of the best cost savin ideas i've heard so far

I've found a shop to test em for 25$ cdn each which isn't too bad. Only problem is the down time for me

-Any links to some good Step by step guides on removing the injectors? I'll be doing a search after this post and seeing what i can find anyhow Thnx again....
