plugs with MSD ignition

I was told on another board that my MSD 6A and coil may have been what killed my opti. I was wondering if this was possible, and I read that using smaller gapped plugs might help this. So when I replace the opti should I get something with a .035 or .040 versus the stock gap of .050?

IMO, the 6A and Blaster coil does not kill an opti. I have been running both for many years.

I only asked because I get told all of that and my opti died about 3 or 4 weeks after my MSD install

If a 6 series box can kill an opti that fast, there would be dead optis everywhere. Coincidence, IMO. If you got optical section trouble codes from your opti, it certainly had nothing to do with the 6A.

I had the opportunity to look at my cap and rotor after about 20k miles with the 6A and saw no unusual wear. Some say if you lessen the plug gap a little from stock, there will be less arcing by the rotor and cap.
