The big problem with the stock AC/Delco plugs is that they tend to lose the little platinum pucks off the center electrode and ground strap, opening up the gap to something in the range of 0.070"-0.100"...... and they are not going to fire reliably when the gap gets that large. I've used colder NGK TR6 and Autolite 104 and 103 plugs with nitrous, and they are fine. Just stay away from the "gimmick" plugs - Split Fires, Bosch 4's, etc.

I've seen some posts indicating good results with the NGK Iridium plugs, but I haven't tried them.

I've tried everything on the market but the rediculously priced NGK Iridiums in my cars over the years, and have always had the best luck with platinum plugs, and the TR55's work great too.

You can't go wrong with either the Autolites or the NGKs. The Delco plugs are good as well, but as noted by Injuneer, their big pitfall is losing the platinum pucks. I have experience with that problem firsthand.

TR55's are used by a lot of guys on here cause they are reliable, perform pretty well, and they're cheap. If I remember correctly they are about 1.50 a piece. I use them myself. If you've never installed plugs before on your lt1 I'd recommend them just incase you mess them up putting them in that you're not out that much money.

I used the TR55's cause a buddy of mine was gonna do his plugs and never did on his camaro so when I did my headers I put those on, but I would have probably just stuck with the regular AC delco ones if I were to buy them. you aren't going to gain any power from plugs anyway unless the ones you took out were sh*t

Personally, I haven't had any problems with the Bosch products whereas others have been less fortunate. I still do believe that there are better quality products on the market for the same price or less.

I've had A/C Delco's, Autolites, Bosch, and NGK TR55's. So far the NGK's have been the best.

I have had NGK TR55's and AC plats. I like the NGK's a lot. But I am moving to TR6's here in the next week for my nitrous set-up.
