Plugs
Plugs
How the heck do ya change the plugs on these cars. (97 Trans Am Convvertable)
I can barely reach my hand in and feel some of the plugs, plus it feels like there is a metal cap on the plug wire?
Most areas it doesn't seem like you can get a spark plug socket to fit.
And Changing out the wires to new ones, wow that seems like a whole nother wild ride!
Any help or hints that anyone has would be awesome. I would really love to do this myself, but as it stands its not looking so good.
Also what kind of plugs and wires are you guys using in yours? Just a little survey here, If ya don't have any help one how to change them up, let me know what the plugs and wires your using are.
Thanks to all those who help,
Cheers!

OK, #'s 1,3,5 on driver's side, get from underside, #7 from above.
All on passenger side get from above. For #8 you'll have to move the dipstick tube slightly and none of them are easy. If you know someone with small hands, get them to do it. I had the passenger side manifold casting number imprinted on my arm for 5 hours after.

Thanks z71camaro
OK
I guess nobody wants to say what kind of plugs and wires they are using?
Now I seen the Craftsma 5/8 in Spark Plug Socket (6pt. flex), some people rant on how great this thing is.
Is it?
It doesn't matter, I guess Sears doesn't thing Canadians need such a thing. Its not offered on my side of the border.
QUESTION
Does anyone know if this thing works??

and if it is worth the time and money?
Thanks again to all!

Sorry, Bosch Platinum +4's with Accel 9000 wires, just make sure your wires aren't bigger than 8mm or you have to change the looms.
I did all of mine just fine with a regular plug socket and regular ratchet and swivel head.
As for that, just go get a cheap plug socket from crappy tire or whereever and cut it, then get a gear wrench to fit the end of it.
It will make it a little easier.
I hate that sears doesn't carry half the **** they advertise.
I'm in Winnipeg so I know exactly where your coming from.
