Please,need help with overheating
Okay so I just installed my new opti, new waterpump, new 180 thermostat, new fan switchc new radiator cap.
I put the water pump on, dropped the car onto a level surface and filled the radiator until it wouldn't hold anymore. I squeezed a couple of the lines leading to the water pump and I noticed that let me pour in some more water.
Well, my car is over heating. The fans aren't kicking on except for when the A/C is on or the SES light. I tried reseting the PCM, that didn't work. The fan switch in the water pump is new.
However I do believe my overheating is unrelated to the fans because it will over heat even when the fans are running.
I have been trying to bleed the system, and I turned the car on for about 15 minutes with both bleeders open and nothing but air came out. Of course the water in the system was boiling at this point, and it never stopped giving me air. I waited and waited for water, but it would arrive only occasionally in very small amounts.
So I turn off the car and try again, and again, and again. I can't get it to just give me water. Also, the backup resevior is filled to the brim, it does go down once the car has cooled.
Anyone can shed some constructive advice on the matter I would appreciate it.

i hate to tell you this but you need to keep doing it...believe it or not if you are trying it and it starts to over heat turn the car off and close the top bleeder leaving the bottom one still open this may allow for air to still escape...also make sure they are open all the way sometimes they might sound or look open but they are not

When I replace my coolant, I do the following. After flushing the crap out, I take out my thermostat and carefully pour distilled water down into the cavitly of the water pump where my thermostat was untill it cannot take more fluids without overflowing. It may
take several attempts to accomplish this. Then I replace the thermostat, put the thermostat housing back on, connect the hoses, and fill the radiator with a mix of coolant/ distilled water. What happens if you do not do this is the engine will warm up faster than the radiator coolant due to air in the system instead of coolant/water, and with no hot coolant to work on your thermostat, it stays closed. So your engine will overheat before it has time to get the thermostat open. This procedure will also reduce the ammount of air in the system you need to bleed off. Works for me, try it
