What kind of car do you have?

I just replaced my elbow with the 1LE version from LS1Speed (p/n# SLP25147) for $60 or so.

I wouldn't trust that Ebay part, it doesn't look familiar?

Thomas.

It says it will work. I was wondering what that tab hanging off it was for.

I know any elbow when I see one, and that isn't a 1LE elbow...

That does not look like an intake elbow that attaches to the TB. It looks round on both ends and looks to be made of hard plastic. How would you get it on the oval TB?

Looks like it may go between the stock air box and the MAF.

Yeah, I was thinking along the same lines. Thing is, I really dont want a 1le elbow, it looks to much like my stock elbow and I don't want to pay $50 for a rubber tube. I also am not sure about a metal elbow like trickflow or vortech. Thought this might be a cheap replacement -Brad

if you keep ur stock elbow just buy one of those plugs that go in where ur air silencer is. go here http://www.thunderracing.com/index.c...ategoryid=1011 go about half way down and ull see it...thats the only reason ppl get new elbows it to get rid of the air silencer..my stock elbow was melted and falling apart so I got the 1le since i needed a new one anyway.

That looks like part of a cold air induction kit. Based on what it looks like and the description given, it connects the MAF (not throttle body as the ad says) to the stock air box. (I think iv'e just said the same thing shoebox said). I agree this is probably better than the stock part that this replaces but anyone thinking of getting this should just pay a little more and get a real CAI. IMHO

Edit: Also I think one "tab" is for the AIR connection and the other is where the clip to connect this to the radiator cover goes.

If it actually was for our cars, someone would have it here and we would have heard about it. That dont look like no elbow for our cars. I can't see hoe the thing would hook up to the TB.

Its the Jet tube for our cars.
Its old skool, I don,t think they even make it anymore.
all it did was replace your old tube going from the airbox to the elbow, worthless really, just buy a CAI and reap the benefits of true cold air.
the second one looks to be a homemade CAI or the plumbing for a supercharger with an intercooler.

I had one just like it. I think mine was called a slick tube. Might be the same thing, different seller. This was back when companys were first coming out with go fast parts for the LT-1's. With this piece and a K+N filter I picked up .15 in the quarter. Could have been just the filter or better track conditions, who knows? It sure looked better than the factory piece.
