Unhappy Please let me know what you think

Hi
I recently bought my first F-body. It's a 1994 T/A with about 113K on it. But I can't figure out why it's not running to it's best. On the LT1's when you slam it, the first two gears you hear the tires spinning but in mine nothing happens. It picks up but it seems like it doesn't have all the power. The Main thing is the low coolant light is on although the coolant is full so I thinking the sensor needs to be replaced. But the main thing that upsets me is between 1500 to 2500 rpm the car like struggles and like it shakes and then when it reaches 3000 rpm it starts accelerating again. I took it to the mechanic i know and he said it needs a tune up. So please let me know what you guys think...thank you very much.

bleed the coolant lines of air

start with a routine tune up and go from there

are there any SES lights on?

routine IMO doesnt include a new distibutor (the opti-spark gets blamed for more then it actually causes) and isnt a typical distributor like a traditional cap and rotor

plugs, wires, fuel filter, fluids etc. etc. etc.

you need to have the car scanned, since it threw an SES light there will be a stored code(s) in the pcm that need retrieved

could be a number of things, could be something that would be free to fix and might take 5min to do.....
