Please Help!!! Whats causing my misfire??
I recently bought the obd2 scanner program from obd-2.com. I hooked it up last week it said my #1 cylinder missed about 2800 in about 25 min period and #8 about 240 times. So i took out the spark plug and it was gapped at about 52. I checked the wire with a ohm meter and it had about .67 of resistance which is what my brand new wire that was in the box said also. All the wires and plugs are about 1 month old, but i had to buy 1 extra set because 1 wire burnt. So i re-routed the wire a little better and the car seemed to run 5 times better. I thought i fixed the #1 misefire. I got my friends laptop today to check how it was running before i did my #8. About 5 min. after i started scanning it the "SES" light came back on. My #1 was still misefireing just as bad. I'm so damn confused. I don't know what it can be. I just put in a new optispark about 3 weeks ago. The plugs i am using are autolite platinums. The wires are accel 9000's. I'm not sure what all the other plugs are gapped at because i had a shop put them in. But the #1 plug is gapped at 44 which is what it was out of the box. Do you think that gap is to high? Would it cause i real bad miss. Would my injector cause my #1 to misefire. The code i pulled was P0301 which says cylinder 1 misefire. If it was a bad injector would i get a code for that? Sorry for the long post but i really need help. I have had this car for almost 3 months now and i still haven't been able to drive it except for only 1 day.

Dang dude, it sounds like you covered all the bases to me. I don't know? I guess you could replace the injector since it sounds like that's all that's left. Or try some injector cleaner first. But I really don't know. I'm just grabbing at straws.

The injector would throw a code if the coil is bad and it's shorting or something, but if it's plugged and doesn't have enough fuel going through it, I'm pretty sure it won't throw a code.
Swapping injectors isn't hard. 4 (8 or 9 mm) bolts holding the fuel rail in place. Take those off and raise the rail just so you have enough space to swap them. Real easy.
PS. Make sure the engine is cold and you've got some shop towels in that area because there will be some fuel leaking out of the rail.

Well i tried to swap my injectors tonight but it didn't turn out so well. I removed the 4 bolts like u said but the damn fuel rail wouldn't lift up. There has to be something else holding it down. I think i'm gonna swap plug wires with one of my brand new ones, even though i tested the wire and it looked okay. I might as well try that before i do the injector thing. It was just to hard for me to do. Hopefully it is a clogged injector. I will be really pissed if i got one a bad opti from the dealer.

Its just the 4 bolts as mentioned above. It will be tight since your car probably hasnt had the fuel rail off since production. You will just have to use some elbow grease and it will pop off the intake, but be aware you will have fuel leakage so be prepared.

The injectors have little clips on them that hook onto the fuel rail. Do i unhook the clips. Because i did on the front 4 and now i can't get them clipped back on. But if it is just the 4 bolts i guess i will just try again today with all my strength.
