Please help me with pulling balancer and hub!

I am about to pull them apart and off the crank so I can take out the bottom end. Question is, do I need to mark the blancer/crank pulley since I have heard it is not keyed? Second, what is the best kind of puller for the job? Third, is the hub keyed, does it need to be marked for reference? Fourth, does it need a puller, whats the best kind to use? Any other things you want to tell me would be nice, need info asap!

Not keyed but mine had a little arrow on the side of the balancer so I just put a chalk mark on the hub to make sure I put it back the right way. Hard to say about pullers, iguess it depends on when the last time it was pulled off cuz mine was a while and I actually broke the piece in the middle of the puller cuz it was on so tight. All I did was got a rubber mallet and started hitting on it til it broke a lil free then I did like a see saw effect till it came off for me. I have had it off twice to replace my opti and it seemed to loosen up for me. Good luck

__________

93 formula my opti is the only aftermarket I got Pretty sad I guess money doesn't grow on trees.

You didn't need to take the hub off to replace the opti's, only the damper..
And no, the LT1 hub isn't keyed from factory..

LT-1 is not keyed. The balancer and hub can go on any way as it is "0" balanced. The weight fits the hub were the arrow lines up or the bolt holes. It will only bolt up one way as Spinner said.

You'll need a 3 toe pulley puller, make sure you'll pull against the hub bolt'
