Please help me!!! i need info!!!
Hey everyone, well I have a 1994 Z28 Camaro, A4, CAI, Flowmaster catback, MSD coil.
Ok well for about a year now my car will do the famous hesitation that everyone talks about, only i can't get it fixed!
What happens is, my car runs FLAWLESS when it's running cold, but once the car gets to be about 215 degrees, it will run SOO crappy, it will sit there and cut out if i hold the gas at around 2400rpms, and then if i floor it to get out of the bogging, the car will finally kick in, and though the rest of the Rpm rang, you can feel the car bogging down, like isn't right with the temp and can't handle it or something
Thats what bothers me the most, the car runs PERFICT when it's cold, and hasn't run much, but if i let it idol, or sit in traffic for a while, the car will start to hesitate once it hits the magic 215degree mark!
Well this is what i have replaced to try and fix the problem thus far,
Plugs, Taylor Wires, a "cap kit" the dealership put on that cost me $253,
a new MSD coil, replaced the TB gasket, have done a TB bypass, and still not one of those things has made a difference, i have had quite a few places look at my car, and they say stuff to do, so i do it, i have even done the simple things, new fuel filter, and even had the fuel injecters cleaned cause they told me that they were probably gunked up!
I have NO IDEADS what to do, im sick of dumping money in and getting nothing in return!!
PLEASE!!!! HELP ME, i need all the help I can get, I KNOW!! there are tons of you out there that have had the same problem as I!
I can't imagine it being something "major" because the car run SO nice, when it's cold, infact it hasn't run crappy since last september, cause it's just been so cold the car wont heat up, but now that we are back in 70 degree weather, the car has ran SOO crappy when it sits for a while and heats up.. AND I WANT IT FIXED, so i can cruise with my Local F-body car club!!
thanks everyone!

Still running the original O2 sensors???
Edit: just reread to see it ran fine in cooler weather. The ICM has been known to fritz out when it gets hot.

I honestly thinks its just your ignition control module. It sits right next to the head and when the car gets really hot it can screw things up. I would just replace it and maybe put a few washers between the head and the ICM.
hhmm ICM.... im stupid not good with that stuff... what exactly is it, and what do i do to fix it!
ICM is it near the coil??
sorry guys i don't exactly work on cars much......
yep still rnning orignal o2's

I feel you pain man, seems you have the same symptoms as I do. If it helps any here is a link to an older post I started with a list of things I have done, and replacing the ICM was one of them. Next on my list of things to do is the o2 sensors and then I guess it will be the opti. Good Luck...

hey everyone thanks for the suggestions, i really hate this problem, it' so stupid! I am thinking i might be replaceing my o2's or something i dunno, and i will check out my ICM,
if anyone has any other ideas PLEASE let me know, like i say, i KNOW there are people out there that have actually fixed the same problems i am having......
here is a question though, if the ICM gets heated up, why would it get to it, even like from the factory it comes that way, is it just because it's worn out and heat stress gets to it easier now that it's older or what?
and another o2 sensors, are they easy to get to or what, how many are there on a 94?
thanks!
