Please help me find my oil leak.......

Ok, car is a 95 Trans Am.

I have replaced the head gaskets, intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets, and oil pan gasket. Car is running great, but yesterday I noticed smoke coming from under my hood.

Got out and looked under the car and there was a lot of oil on my exhaust. I can not put the car up until tomorrow night (have to work). Where should I be looking? Could a loose head bolt on the bottom row be the cause? I used blue thread locker on the inside bolts, but only thread sealant on the lower ones. Hope that made sense.

Thanks in advance.

head gaskets won't leak oil, I would double check your valve cover gaskets

Re: Please help me find my oil leak.......

I'd imagine that your oil leak is probably coming from your intake since you said that you changed the gaskets. It can be hard to get the back of the intake to seal because you have to use the black sealant ( or whatever you chose to use ) to seal the back. When the motor is cold reach behind the intake and swipe your fingers around the area where the intake meets the block just below the fuel shrader valve. I'll bet you get oil on your fingers If it was leaking bad at all it can drip out and go down the back side of the motor and splatter over almost anything including the exhaust. Good luck!

I got to check the valve covers and the rear of the intake and they are oil free. I won't have time to put the car in the air until tomorrow night.

Any other ideas?

THANKS!

I can't see an oil leak from where I am. You are just going to have to take a careful look.
