Unhappy Please HELP! I'm Lost. All TECH Guys Inside!

Some of you may have read that my car started to backfire at startup. Then I got a code 36 which pertains to the opti. So I bought the opti. The car stalled on me Monday. So I changed the opti, coil, spark plugs and wires. I was positive I had gotten rid of the backfire. So I started the car up after I got it back together and the bacfire is still there. I'm lost on what it could be now? I'm open to any ideas or suggestions. I'm kinda thinking injector(s) or possibly a valve. Please HELP. Even if it's a guess.

O2 sensors if your's have a lot of miles on them.
Fuel filters are cheap and easy to replace.

Have you adjusted your rockers before?

O2's have 7000 on them at the most. My FP is good and is 41PSI at idle.

No, I've never adjusted the rockers. It does sound like there is some noise under the passenger side valve cover.

try this-

run the car, turn it off, wait 5 sec and turn it on-
then does it backfire?

or only after being off for a long time?

leaky injector?

did you install the opti correctly-
was it flush before you bolted it on or did the bolts "make it flush"

Opti is in correct. I made sure it was flush without the bolts. I also installed the new one exactly how the old one came out. It only does it every now and then. After it is driven it doesn't do it. (like when I'm sitting at the stop light) I can also tell when it's going to do it, because I usually have to crank the car a bit more before it fires. It's pretty disappointing changing the opti, coil, plugs, wires and the problem still persists.

Trey,

I will try the above and let you know what happens. Thanks.

Have you tried changing you distributer?? My buddy had a backfiring problem and he changed all the things you did and still no cure. Then he changed the distributer and it got rid of the backfire. Just remember that you have to do a certain amount to key cycles before the computer reads thats there's a new opti in. Just my 2 cents.
