Please help!!!

I have a miss in my #8 cylinder. I have pulled the connector to the injectors to narrow it down to the #8. I have swapped the inectors to eliminate that as a cause. (Still missing) Then I replaced the spark plug with a new one to eliminate it. (Still missing) I have recently replaced the spark plug wires and I just inspected the wire to insure that it did not burn next to the header primary. The wire is still good. (Still missing)

What else could I be overlooking as a cause of this?

THanks
Joe

Re: Please help!!!

run the car when it is pitch black outside check for arcing wires (youll see firework like sparks almost like really fast shooting stars), also make sure the obvious like the boot securely snaps onto the spark plug wire and its not ripped or expanded from heat giving a poor conductive connection.

Re: Please help!!!

Swapping injectors doesn't mean the injector is firing. Check it with a noid light. A bad driver in the PCM may not be firing the injector.

Swapping plugs doesn't mean it's firing either. Check for presence of spark.

Last thing to check if both of those are good is compression or leak down. Still think it's one of the first 2 though.

Re: Please help!!!

Check the opticrap! make sure that plug wire didn't get dirt or something in it down at the opti and make sure the plug wire clicks twice onto the opti.
