Please don't tell me my opti is crapping out on me
ALways started the car with within 1 second, first turn of the key. Now I have to crank it from 5 -10 seconds. Also, stumbles alot. Opti, right???
Sound more like a sign of a dying battery. This could be the result of corrided terminals, bad alternator, old battery, lose connections. Could also be a dying starter although usually that's not the case. Get your battery tested and see if it needs replacing.
althogh the opti is the whipping boy of 93-97 f-bodies it is not always the problem. having gone straight to the opti twice to diagnose run problems all i accomplished was a lot of wasted time. check plugs, wires, fuel, filter, battery voltage, alternator output, ignition fuse if car fails to turn over. go to the opti last ,it is a pain to remove for a quick fix.
bet you its:
1: Fuel Filter
or
2: Coil + Wire
i had the exact same problem with my old 93 Z, so i changed both these and it never stumbled again and started on the first or 2nd crank. Trust me... both of these together wont run you a lot and its better than paying out the butt for an Opti when you never know if it may be the main prob. G'Luck and let us know how it goes.

How exactly do you check the coil???
[Thread Hijack] I was wondering cus after I chaged my plugs and wires (coil included), and the real bad hessitation is gone. How ever when the revs are going up I feel a VERY faint stumble. And when I'm going arround 50- 55 MPH in 4th (A4), the car stumbles unless I give it a littel gas, or let go a little. Dont know why, but it alwasy at a certain throtle possition. As alwasy I suspected opti, but I would only go to that after Fuel filter, and any otehr recomended ideas such as the coil.[/Thread Hijack]
I agree with every one else. Go after hte other things before you go after the opti. IF it does turn out to be the opti, jsut look at it this way, you still chnaged all the things that needed to be change with so many miles.

Check your plug wires, and then check your plugs. I know that they were just done, but I have no idea how many people have said "I just did my plugs and wires, and I found a crack in the wire or a broken plug". I have a Jeep Cherokee, and the no. 1 plug boot got a nick in it and was arcing on the head. Talk about a miss at highway speeds, damn!! But I would check those first.

coil! It's easiest to check when it's dark, because you will see arcing with the car running.
