I have mine on the left side of the dash close to the A- pillar. It sets real close to the A-pillar gauge pods that house my nitrous and fuel pressure gauges.

i was thinking there or just above the glove box next to the a/c vents. my next question is how does it mount....do you hold it down with a screw or bolt into the plastic?

Cool

Tach mount in my car. I just used the supplied screws and mounted it there. The plastic is nice and thick, so it won't pull out
