pics of pacesetter install

here's a few pics of my pacesetter install. It's the passenger side obviously. I'll get more of the driver side later.

Re: pics of pacesetter install

When you are finished with the install could you post pics of underneath where the y pipe runs. I may be getting a set before long and would like to see where the y pipe connects to the rest of the exhaust because the previous owner cut the cats and did some crappy work welding in new pipe. Just would like to know what im in for

I'm not running a y-pipe. I'm welding up the summit universal x-pipe kit.

Re: pics of pacesetter install

I thought the pacesetters had slip-fit collectors I didn't think they had the 3-bolt style

Re: pics of pacesetter install

I had those welded on before the install. I'm hooking it up to a 2.5 reducer and the summit x-pipe kit. I want to be able to remove the exhaust when I need to.

That looks awesome. I can't wait to get my FLP long tubes installed with cats or without cats.

Re: pics of pacesetter install

did they fit pretty good? that and i heard that the exhaust primaries were smaller than the exhaust ports on the heads on the pace setters. not sure if maybe you could confirm that or not.
just trying to figure out if i should take off my mid-lengths and go long tubes, crossover and then dumps

Re: pics of pacesetter install

Looks nice, I am kicking myself in the butt for not welding flanges on my headers and y-pipe.

I have no complaints about fitment. slid right in, bolted right up.

My boss welded it for me so I'm not sure. I think you flanges were like $5? IMO totally worth it to get them.

The slip fit works great with the preformed band clamps. Why would you want flanges that don't seal evenly and tend to warp when they get overtightened? I've already taken my y-pipe back off to make an adjustment with my cat-back and it came off very easy. I would much rather have the slip fit and it gives you a little better ground clearance as well. Just don't use the crush style clamps that come with the headers.

I agree... flanged collectors are the major gripe with my Jet-hot LT's. My flanges ae deformed and don't seal well at all.
