Did you do the installation? If so, you should be pretty familar with how they went in. Judging from the pictures, the damage doesn't look like it will interfere with taking the headers out.

It's about a weekend (or one really long day) of work. The car has to be jacked up really high in the air and they need to come out from the bottom. How much is the insurance company giving you for it?

jack up the front, put on jack stands, get a board and place it on the jack, put it under your oil pan. jack up until it touches oil pan. remove motor mount bolt(one side at a time), jack engine up, pull header from top, lower engine, put bolt back in, do other side. That's the way i did mine. Doesn't take too long that way.

You also need to remove the dipstick, and i don't know about the alternator, mine was off when i did mine.

Pull of the alternator, starter, and oil dipstick for the passenger side. Disconnect the steering linkage for the drivers side. For the passenger side, I installed it from the top, I did have to remove the valve cover to gain a bit more clearance. I didn't have to undo the motor mount though by doing it that way.

If it's your insurance picking up the car as a total loss, you gotta put something back in place of those...

I just did this without pulling the starter. It shouldn't take long at all to pull them off. Disconnect all the bolts before you jack the car up to make it easier

I did the same. Left the starter and dropped them in from the top. I did however remove the valve covers. They went in really nicely.
