Picking up 1992 LT-1 Vette-opinioins wanted re: things to do

considering options for HP mods and also preventative maintainence.

Older L98 cars had head gasket problems. Can't remember if LT-1 had similar head gasket issues or not.

I'm probably going to convert Opti over to the coil packs.

Considering throwing a cam in the car, but it's got 116k miles on her and I don't want to go super aggressive and have to put a motor in it for 2-3yrs if I can help it.

Considering prices on headers I might just run the stock vette manifolds for awhile, which will kill me as I like nice ceramic headers(least in my fbodies ).
But $1500 for headers and xpipe is just not worth 20hp for me.
I could put a fairly mild cam in the car and pickup 20-40hp, a few bolt on's and I'll be reasonably happy for now I think. From what I read the stock Y body manifolds aren't total garbage, at least no benefit of getting shorty headers.

If I could get it down to the low 13's or high 12's on street tires with a 2.0 60ft I'd be ok with that.

Considering LE2 heads and LE1 cam package, but then I would really want headers and then I would consider a new shortblock and it snowballs from there. I think my major speed itch will be scratched by my 2007 Z06, so I just want this to be respectable

I'll probably also convert the dual mass flywheel over to a single mass aluminum and get a Fbody clutch which will in effect free up some power.
any thoughts?
