Picked up some seafoam..now what :)

Aight I cleaned my MAF and TB about 2 weeks ago, but I was at napa and picked up 2 cans of seafoam. But im using one of them on my brothers 87 carburated Yota pickup. The truck has been sitting for like a year(only ran a few times)...but it still runs, but needs a new carburator(diaphram I think). How should I use the seafoam on that truck to clean it up to run better before we sell it? Im guessing it could use it everywhere right?

Do you jes pour this stuff in the carborator and let it sit for 5 min like it says? I picked up both cans(one spray, one pour spout).

Also I think I may use it on my TA, Im thinking using it for intake cleaner. It says jes spray it into the TB with someone reving it some(so the throttle blades are opened)...is that all there is to it? And do I use a whole can for each job? Thanks guys.

I searched, but it comes up with wayyy too many hits.

FYI--After I ran Seafoam through my intake it caused both my O2 Sensors to go out. Not saying it isn't good or that my O2's weren't on their way out, but it can (and did) happen.

I have extra O2 sensors, how hard are those to replace?

I had a rough time replacing mine. I've heard it's easier if you have an O2 socket. Some people remove them from the top--I removed mine from beneath. Just be sure to put some anti-seize on them if you do end up changing them out.

they come out easily from the bottom, unplug it and unscrew them, if you dont have a O2 socket you can use a Open end socket wrench..

The previous owner gave me 3 used ones...but they are still good. He said they are prolly better than the ones in there now. They ofcourse have liek black soot on the, could I use electrical parts cleaner on it to clean them up, or is that a bad idea?

good writeup, but those smoke pics in there are nothing compared to when i seafoamed. my car was like a fricken cloud-making machine for a good 45 sec.
couldn't even see the houses in my rear-view mirror, and i was moving, any cars behind would have had to stop cuz visibility dropped to <10'
