Pick one of these 2

After I get my Jet Hot long tubes, im going to build my own true dual setup. And Im thinking about on of the these 2 mufflers to use. I want it to be pretty loud, but there is a point between loud, and getting pulled over loud.

Choice:

1. 2.5" Bullet Muffler ( I figure if reduce the size, it will turn down the sound levels )

2. 3" Morso Spiral Flow Mufflers (since they have have the spiral type design inside, I figure that would cut down on some of the sound )

I will probably add a dump right after the muffler pointing at the ground. (should help a little too ) I figure with one of these setups, the car will still sound beasty, and will lower the chances of getting pulled over. What ya think? 1 or 2?

I always thought that reducing the size made it louder, not quieter...

nope.

Matter of fact, here is a funny story. When I first got my flowmaster muffler installed I kept the stock tips. And when I had the 3 inch slash cuts put on, it actually made a small difference.

Well in that case I'd go with the Bullet's...or have you ever looked into ProFlo Twisters?

im sorta in the same boat, im debating on which mufflers to use for true duals,
im thinking that proflo or bullets or moroso spiral mufflers will be too loud for the local law enforcement.

i wonder what clearance would be?
they would be very quiet as compared to the straight through mufflers.
i would put a cutout in front of each muffler for track use.

The clearence will be an issue with those mufflers. The bullets, and spiral mufflers are 4 inches. So they are a better squeze if you ask me. I think im going to just tun 2.5 ruducers off the headers, then run a 2.5 bullet muffler. Unless someone here has run the morso's or these spiraltechs.
