Perfect gears for still wanting acceleration, but top speed most?
Perfect gears for still wanting acceleration, but top speed most?
I have 3.23 gears on my '95 Z28. Are those the perfect gears for what I want? Would any other gearing give me a higher top speed, but NOT sacrifice the acceleration I currently have? Thanks.
numerically lower gears will yeild a higher top speed but how often do you need to go 170mph?
If your looking for top speed int the 1/4 then it will depends on your mods - specifically cam and bottom end as to how high to rev and where to change gears.
You don't mention if it''s an A4 or M6 - I assume an A4 given the 3.23's you have in there now.
The general advise on the boards is 3.73 for an A4 and 4.10 for an M6.
If you have or are adding a power adder then lower the above by one size.
