Errr.. I think so.
I do remember it is a coilpack system, unlike the LTCC, so that part looks good.
It's hard to get a good answer on this one though because you're one of the first to actually try to set one up.

What are the differences, exactly?
If you can get all the "extras" for cheaper, might as well get the barebones.
If you have aftermarket upgrades you want to do on top of the other stuff, you'll probably want to go barebones.
On the other hand, if you just want an easy installation and want to try it out like that, then the "deluxe" kit might be for you.

If you need any info, you can call delteq. They are very helpful.

Any pics of your installation? I just realized that it appears that the Delteq instructions show the coils mounted on the bottom of the radiator support... That worries me a little as far as water and other debris getting into it...
Thanks,
Paul
I made a custom bracket and mounted mine like this:

And that looks like the parts you will need.

Yes, those are the coils you need. Call Delteq, Pete should answer the phone. He can give you the years you need to find. I beleive it is 92 though 94 caddy northstar.
I went with the full kit, it is easier and less time consuming. I though of mounting on the radiator is just the same anywhere else in the engine bay. While you are driving air is flow everywhere in the engine bay, a long with the water and debri that flows with it. The radiator maybe a safer stop as the radiator blocks all of the incoming air. just food for thought.
I love this system! It is super easy to install and you don't have to crop up the cars' wiring to install it.

yeah, ive got my coils and module sitting on a table now, just waiting for the delteq part.
im doing this because my waterpump ruined my opti and the new pump hasnt even shipped yet. do you think it would be bad to run on the old pump for a few days or would that be too risky?

I don't have headers (yet) so I'd have to go down under the exhaust manifolds...
Nice Work!

I also ordered three wire seperator kits from Thunder as i needed 6 wire seperators that hold 4 wires. And a kit from Thunder only comes with 2 of those that hold 4. But they are only like $10 so its not bad to get 3.
Hey guys,
To ease some concerns, let me just say that the radiator shroud mounting location seems to work great! We have had one on our 96 Z28 for over a year now, and it has survived a really bad winter, tons of rain, ridiculous heat, and most recently, a 55mph deer collision en route to the F-Body Motorsports Grand Opening in Charlotte NC! Honestly, the radiator shroud is a nice place to install the system since it actually makes spark plug wire changes really easy...I can generally do them in about 1 hour. We include high quality double silicone spark plug wires with silicone boots in our complete kits, and they don't allow any moisture to creep into the coil terminal. Also, all of the electrical connections on the coilpack are sealed as well.
Basically, we chose the radiator shroud mounting location for two reasons:
1. Some cars have traction control (ASR), and the ASR module is located on the driver's side valve cover.
2. Some people prefer a "hidden" installation. Unless you realize that the stock coil and ignition module are replaced by our Opti Box, you would be hard-pressed to notice that the Opti-Spark is not being used anymore on a car with the radiator mount coilpack.
If it were my car, I would probably go with the radiator shroud mount because it also makes the spark plug wires a bit easier to route and change than the valve cover mount...but I DO like the way the valve cover mounted coils looks. Maybe I should run both!
If anyone has any particular questions, please don't hesitate to call us!
Best regards,
Pete Visser

HOZZ4 I am thinking of your system .What coils and stuff do I need if I buy your basic system.Does your basic system come with wires.??
Will any aftermarket wires work with your system with radiator shroud mounting. What if I already have some msds?
