People who did m6 conversion inside please!

I mite be doing a m6 conversion in the next couple of weeks and was wondering what you did with the computer. Did you have to have it reprogramed. If so will a dealership do it .

You have to get the computer reflashed with an M6 program, you can do it with LT1edit or the dealer can do it for you.

Like what Matt said, you can do it with LT1-Edit, but I don't think a dealership will be able to do it. I may be wrong, and you can easily call them up to find out, but I don't think the dealership (if they even have the equipment) would do it.

I can't remember where I got mine, but do a search and you should find good info about PCMforless, and Ed Wright.

If you don't reprogram, the speedo will be off (VSS reads differently), and the reverse lock-out and skip shift won't work. The skip shift is no biggie, and the rev. lock just means you'll have to force the shifter over to "reach" reverse (this will not damage anything).

You can still drive the car on the A4 program too.
