I went the hard way. With the PTE elbow and 90mm t-body.

Re: People with single plane intakes inside
Mine fit under the stock WS6 hood after some carving. There is a support brace that runs down the middle of the hood that needed to be removed to clear the elbow/throttle body.
I went with the Wilson 90mm throttle body so that requires a few things...
The IAC, you can get an adaptor from:
http://www.raceprovenmotors.com/cart...a&filter_id=10
You will see the TPS adaptor there also.
I just rewired the TPS into the factory harness.
Get a IAC for a 93 camaro Z28 and the corresponding pig tail to wire into your harness.
For the throttle cables, I got a monoblade throttle cam from AS&M, it was about $25 I believe. Then I modified the stock LT1 throttle cable bracket to mount to the intake elbow to manifold bolts. This allowed me to reuse the stock cables. I mounted the throttle cam onto the Wilson t/b by just drilling one hole in the cam to mate up with one of the pretapped holes on the throttle body, then I got it lined up and drilled and tapped for another bolt.
As far as Fuel, I converted to -6AN from the hard lines forward. I ran a single feed along the stock routing up to the opening under the hood. Then it enters a y-block that I made here at work (machine shop). But I pretty much copied the design of the Aeromotive unit that you can get at any speed shop. Then the two feed lines enter the front of the Edelbrock 3630 rails via -6AN lines. The returns are also -6AN coming out of the back of the rails into an Aeromotive 13109 afpr which has two inlets and one outlet to the tank. The return then follows the stock routing back down to the factory hard line.

Re: People with single plane intakes inside
Stock hood will NOT clear a Super Vic, and good luck with any other single plane. I needed ~2.25" above the plastic cowl piece to clear the elbow. My elbow flange is milled as thin as it can get with the vacuum ports in it, still only 1/2" thick. I don't see where you are going to find a single plane worth your time that will be 2" shorter. The elbow can't get much tighter of a short side radius if you want to maintain flow, so you can't really save any height there either.

Re: People with single plane intakes inside
i was going to run the Vic E the hight on that is 4.58 " i think that puts it and the same hight as the stock LT1/4 intake then i need to fig out the room from there......

Re: People with single plane intakes inside
The Victor EFI is almost identical in height to a stock LTx intake manifold. You can fit an elbow under the stock Z28 hood, but it will have to be custom fabricated.

Re: People with single plane intakes inside
I have nothing else to contribute on the subject but can confirm what the others have said. You probably won't fit it under a stock hood. I also have a WS.6 hood and a super vic and things are tight, tight. I'd either plan on a different hood or a different intake. HP=$$$

Re: People with single plane intakes inside
I will be doing the Vic E , because of the hight, and the custom elbow to fit under the hood.....well i will have to look into that...
thanks
