people with longtubes please

I would like to know how some other people have delt with their longtube/ rest of the exhaust problem with the drivers side of the manual tranny crossmember. my mufflex y-pipe has a slight dip in it but it still hits my crossmember here and there when im starting off from a stop. i have shaved down the lip a good bit but dont want it to loose strength.

i want to do an x-pipe kit but the crossmember is going to be in the way unless i really bend the tube a lot right after my header.

anyone have pics of ideas i can use? I want it to be louder than it already is. should i not put mufflers on and just do the x-pipe and dumps? or can i make it louder with some mufflers? i dont want it to sound like crap tho, and open headers wont work, i already did that and was told not to do it again

thanks

You can put a piece of heater hose where it is hitting to stop that problem. It will stop the knock retard.
