I have no weight reduction done. Car weighs over 3700 with me in it. As far as sound goes on stock tune it has a noticeable lope at idle though that may be lessened with a tune. Also my cam is on a 112 lsa.

Are you running slicks? Any suspension work done to your car? What rpm are you shifting? That's a pretty good time. I'm only getting 8.2 in the 1/8th. Traction is my biggest problem. Not to mention my 4.10's, My engine peaks at 5900 so I don't need so much gear. I'm going to downgrade to 3.73's again. I have a good feeling that I'll get a better time with them. If I had slicks I could get a good time, but I need a 12 bolt .

Yeah, what he said...
It's just right; not too much or too little lope, it's sounds awesome. The first time I started the car after the install, every head in the shop I was in turned my way; and when I started it in the carport for my buddy, he just stood there with an ear-to-ear smile on his face and didn't say anything.
Yes, I'm also on a stock tune. Before the cam/heads, I could actually hook the car up on the street from a 2000rpm roll and it would chirp 2nd gear pretty good; and it got about 29-31mpg on the highway. Now, it will not hook at all until about halfway through 3rd gear (holy traction problems Batman!), and I still get over 27mpg on the highway. I've said this before to other people and I'll say it again; If you want an absolutely GREAT street cam, this is the one you want.

Can anyone tell me how this cam performs compared to the Hotcam?

Seems like it should be very close if not slightly better due to the XE lobes.?.

Thanks again, everyone.

I'm wondering the same thing. Where will this cam peak on stock heads with a full exhaust system (shorties and a catback)? Where would the LT4 Hotcam? I was considering ZZ3, but now i'm thinking that won't be worth it and i need to go a lil bigger like this.

I'm also considering this as a possible alternative to the Hotcam... I have smog to deal with, so its prolly as big as I can go.

I am running ET Streets no other suspension work yet. I am planning a set of relocation brackets for the lca's but that is it. Most of my runs are 8.0's and 8.1's I launched pretty hard when I ran the 7.9. I too have 4.10's and the little 7.5 inch rear. I think there is probably a 7.7 or 7.8 in it but I am trying to keep the rear in one piece until I can afford a 12 bolt. Later
