Hey Im back. Sorry I havn't looked at my posts. Regards to Injuneer everything is Ok and we all are on the same page.

As far as the MSD is concerned. Yes I did Bypass MSD and hooked up the wires directly to the Coil. And still nothing. But while we are on the subject. Is it possible that I could have a bad ICM(Ignition Coil Module)? Do they go bad. Also another note when I turned the key to start the motor I hear a click sound. Im not sure were its coming from but I hear it. Proir to my pulling the motor. Everything was running perfectly other than some spun bearings. Now I try to start it and nothing. I did not mess with any of the wiring at all proir to pulling and before. My car sat in my mother in laws driveway for a year and half. So maybe some imput on the ICM. Ill look at some other posts to see if anyone has had simalar problems.

Snake battery has been recharged and ready to go.
Took it down to Autozone and had it tested and recharged and their machine read "GOOD BATTERY"

Checked the following:
Pulled off Coil plug leading to opti to check for spark from the coil. "No Spark."
I have a MSD 6al ignition unit. I Bypassed the unit and hooked up wires directily too Coil. "NO Spark"
I have checked the battery and had it recharged and restested. "No Spark"
As far as using a voltage meter etc... I have not done so yet. But I probably should. Im thinking that my ICM may be going bad or gone. NOt sure

Ill be doing the test today but I wanted to ask another question. Im Missing the back half of my transmission. The part that the torque arm and the speed sensor connects too. Could this be a problem?. My car feels like it wont start in refrence to when your car is in drive. You know how your car will not start at all if your car is in drive. Well it kinda of feels like that. So Im wondering if thats a factor.

My car started and ran without the VSS sensor hooked up. The tranny did aweful things, but it didn't affect the engine startup.

This is kind of off the wall, but while it sat in a drive way for a year and a half, did maybe a mouse or chipmunk chew up some wiring? I've had this happen before. Thank goodness the culprit didn't chew anything to important, but it might be a possibility. Where there any signs of mice being inside your car or in the engine bay?

Ok. heres an update on my Camaro. I replaced the starter and now my car cranks. So the starter is engaging the flywheel. So just at I thought things were going to be good. I thought wrong. The starter I have is from a 71 Camaro 400 Flexplate. WHY? Because My stroker is Externally balanced with a 400 Flexplate and teh stock starter will not work. SO my new starter fits in the holes just fine. Heres my problem. How do I allign the starter with the flexplate correctly. Im using the shims like the intructions say to do. But Im having no luck. The starter just keeps banging up against the flywheel. So is there anyone here that has used shims effectly with success I could really use your help
Thanks
Chris
