PCMforless...what to do?

OK I know Bryan can do all sorts of good stuff, but what else can he actually do fo rme and why would I benefit from it? He's gonna lean out my car cuz it's very rich, but besides that I don't know what I need. Why shoudl I have my idle raised? If I'm putting in the fan switch, I don't need him to program my fans to go on do I?

Since a fan switch is manual, you can leave it as is or you can reprogram it as well, in which case the fan switch will be about useless. I rarely saw above 180º with a 160º thermo and reprogrammed fans.

Yep, thats a GREAT thing about custom programming. You spend half of what he charges on just like a fan switch and then u have to install it. The jet is a PITA too...

Are you running a factory tune right now? A mail order tune for your hot cam and headers (since it's so common) would be pretty close to a dyno tune (mind you, nothing is as exact as a dyno tune) and you'd see good gains from it. He has an order form where you tell him all your mods and he tailors a custom tune for you. It should help lean out your A/F mixture accordingly, so you see peak performance on the street and at the track. Hope this helps.

Yea I'm running really rich, he'll be able to lean it out for me....

How much HP should I gain with the fans being set, leaning my car out and a KM?

He will know what to do with the fan temps, my FAN #2 I dont even remember the temp, maybe 195 or so, it never really comes on. Fan #1 comes on for me about 179º I think, many use something like 185º or so.

The 160º thermo begins to open at 160, it is not fully open till later, so putting a fan at 160º would be a waste

It's tough to say how much HP you'll gain from a tune, because each car is different. I'm willing to say another 10-15 HP at least. Basically, it's worth it. Pcmforless also sells LT4 knock modules, so he can ship you a PCM with one already installed.
Give Bryan a call at the number on their web page.
