Nice thing about Ion was, at the time I was needing a tune, he need stock LT1 KM's, so I sent him mine and he knocked $15 off a tune. Awesome tuner.

Re: PCMFORLESS or MADZ28

I was in the same position your in. I emailed them both at the same time with the same questions. PCMFORLESS got back with me the next day, Ion never replyed. I gave him a call though because he was still the cheaper of the two. He answered my questions so I sent it to him. I got it back in 6 days(including a weekend) and noticed no SOTP difference, but my car does run alot cooler. There may have been a difference but I dont drive the car enough to remeber what it felt like before.

Re: PCMFORLESS or MADZ28

By knowing Ion personally (used to go to same school) I would say go with him. He is a very honest person, stands besides his work, and he will give you your $ back if you not satisfied. He will work with you till you satisfied. And he can put a chip in that if you burn your ECM, you just replace the chip (~$4) and you good to go. Also he is an Engineering student who is responsible for big computer lab in NIU, also host quite a few websites. His computer skills are far beyond good, and its not his major. He worked quite a bit on f-bodies- like swappping moter/cam...., so he is a decent mechanic as well (well maybe he got better now, but last time I met him he was decent ) Its your choice, but you will not be dissapointed with Ion (madwolf)

Re: PCMFORLESS or MADZ28

My program from PCMforless was badass. Definatly got prob 10hp from it plus a ton quicker throttle response. Brian was very good on the customer service aspect from other questions I had too. I would imagine however that you wont go wrong with either.

I would throw in one vote against MadZ28. As a paying customer he has ignored my phone calls, emails and PMs.

Yeah it took a while but he responded to my emails. Madz28 tuning is damn good as far as I can tell.

I have a local tuner and he post in this site but i can't seem to get hold of him. He is The Highlander. I have heard great feedback from him but i can't get a hold of him.

Re: PCMFORLESS or MADZ28

I think there might be other reasons for his ignoring your PMs.

Its an issue that you need to bring up with him. He is an understanding guy and he might be willing to work with you.

Cody, update your profile. Your 396 is not a formula. Its a badass Z28.

He just got back from vacation. Thats probably why he didn't get a hold of you right away. I know because the same thing happened to me.
But I've dealt with ION in the past. Very reliable, honest and fast. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

Re: PCMFORLESS or MADZ28

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I really appreciate it.

I will agree, email replies have been slow on a few occasions, but I am up to date as of today, with no emails unanswered.

As for Euclid, here is how the story goes. He asked for an email tune, promising to trade in an OBDI PCM. (yes, I do have his emails if anyone wants to see them) I sent it BEFORE I received the PCM and instead of the OBDI PCM that I have been waiting for, I received and OBD2 PCM without a cover, screws and knock module. THAT is why I have been looking for a KM a while ago. It's still on my shelf because I still haven't found a cover and screws for it.

Would you like me to provide an excerpt from my phone bill record showing calls from you that I have answered?

I have every single one email, PM and phone bill from 1999, so just try me.
