my 94 Z is patriot (dark, maroon, crimson...) red. i was looking thru a book on all the camaros from 1967-2002 and according to it patriot red wasnt available in 94, but it was available in 1995. my car is original paint. its build date is 03/94. it was sold originally on 03/22/94, so i am guessing it was built during the early part of the month. did patriot red become available in mid 94 or am i missing something?

 

I've got a 94 that I bought in that color in April of 94. I'll see if I can dig up the build date for you.

 

I do think that it was avilable in 94. I have a 95 and had been looking into buying in 94 and they were on the lot. I bought a Bright Red 95 but wrecked it. I went back and bought a new 95 in 96 and they told me it was Patriot Red which I was worried was teh newer 96 color cayan red looks like crap copper. It turned out it was the older color I remembered on the 94s though being the Dark burgendy. btw I really love the color and wish chevy had offered it longer. It was also available on vettes but called a different name.

I have a '94, she's Patriot Red. The Dealer Brochure also shows it as a color option. So I gotta think it was available troughout the build year.

 

Mine is a 93, patriot red, god i love that red. Had a altima same color, as far as I remember, the patriot red was avail through 94 ot r 95 i believe, 94's ive seen, but 95 patriot reds, dont recall seeing them.

nope its patriot red someone hit my car and my uncle owns an autobody and had to order paint for me and said the color he had to get was patriot red

 

Patriot red 94 here. I saw the same thing in a book, probably the same one. I figured it was just a typo.

 

I dont think patriot red could even be mistaken with purple. Maybe you do have a purple car...

 

some people call my car purple cause they dont like camaro's....i guess they are colorblind
