Re: Passenger Header Help!!!

take off valve cover, and undo the bolt through the motor mount. Jack up the motor and slide the header in through the top. thats how i did it. If you have EGR on it, good luck with that ****, mine wouldnt fit right so i tried bending it and still wouldnt line up well enough, so i went and blocked it off. Passenger side was the biggest PITA for me.

Re: Passenger Header Help!!!

jsut get the car high enough off the ground and then it will wiggle right in there...
I just put my headers on last week and thats what I had to do, just jack it up as high as your jack stands will allow, you will probally need acouple 2x4s to put on the jack to get it that high

yes, jack up motor after removing the passenger side pin/bolt, then slide it in from the top.

Re: Passenger Header Help!!!

i didnt have to do any of that.....................this man dont take the valve covers off, POINTLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

all you have to do is make sure the car is high enough. Slide it in so the flang is parallel with the bottom of the car, but going in at an angle............Rotate it counter-clockwise as you are massaging it up into the engine bay. Should go in without one single problem.

Thats how i did mine and it was in and ready to be bolted in, in literally about 15 seconds.

let me know if you have any more snags

Re: Passenger Header Help!!!

I didn't take off valve covers or undo motor mounts. I did have to take off head shields on both sides though. I was having a lot of trouble until I realized I was catching on stupid little things that I wouldn't have thought of. Make sure you have someone else to help from and top and look around while you do the same from the bottom.

Re: Passenger Header Help!!!

i did mine by myself and they were easy as pie..........however as you can see, all cars are different....

might want to stick a jack under the motor to lift it up a little bit if you are having trouble there.

Re: Passenger Header Help!!!

I had to jack my motor up. Place the jack under the oil pan, but place a block of wood between the oil pan and the jack prior to jacking.
