I believe your talking about the EGR. Back of the engine right? What kind of headers do you have? Try some high temp copper rtv on it.

I won't be smart and say "with a wrench!" What's the problem? Can't reach it? Bolt won't go in? Something missing?

Well the first thing that i would do is clean that old bolt up with a wire brush and make sure that you can start a nut on it...... and then try and start the bolt into the header........I havn't delt with headers yet but if it was ment to go onto your model car then the hole should be the same size......another possibility is that you tried to force the bolt and buggered the threads......that would mean that you are going to have to run a tap down it to clean the threads back up.............hope it works for you.....mine was a pain too......

I agree with jdvm95Z28. Check the threads of the bolt and bolt hole. Could be dirt or extra coating material that needs to be cleaned out with a tap.

I had a leak in the same place, just couldn't get the bolt tight enough to stop the leak. It didn't seem to want to seat properly, no matter how much I cleaned it up. It blew through the hi-temp RTV, so I tried a bunch of JB Weld around it, let it set 24 hours, and that sealed it up reeeeaaal goood. Just hope I never have to remove my headers for anything...........

When I put MAC headers on a 95Z I had to hook it back up, it is a PITA. I put some RTV on it and made sure that it seated in correctly, theres the tube in the middle and then theres a piece of metal that goes around it, and there's a hole in that which the bolt goes through. I pushed them together and started the bolt and wiggled it some while i was tighting the bolt down so it was centered correctly and it hasn't leaked......yet. Oh, and I did this with the Y pipe off. Good luck.

Man.....JB weld? That's a little harsh.
