i was just at autozone and carquest, got all new gaskets for my cam swap but none of them had the waterpump drive deal. i havent checked advanced auto yet. the part numbers i gave them worked for all the other gaskets but not for the waterpump drive seal, and i checked on gmpartsdirect.com and it was the right number. anyone know what the deal is?

 

If you were to buy a FelPro timing gasket kit, it comes with gasket and the 3 seals.

 

i bought the timing gasket kit but it only came with waterpump gaskets, timing cover and then a crank seal.

 

If it was the Fel-pro then you are missing parts.
The felpro has all the timing cover seals and gaskets and is only about $8.00

 

w/e its the carquest kit. ahh well. it was 14 bucks for the timing cover, crank seal and 2 WP gaskets. they are giving me the cloyes factory style timing chain for 14 bucks tho instead of 40.hehe im happy with that. assuming my seal is good, can i leave it in the cover and not replace it?
