Painting intake...most effective way to remove fuel rail covers/injectors?

I was wondering:
A.) Best "red" engine paint to use. And if after that do I need a sealant?
B.) How to get off fuel rail covers/injectors with/out ruining injectors.
C.) Any way to mess up fuel pressure regulator by taking it off?
THanks,
JOHN

A) Use Autozone High temp enamel.....and yes I would seal it just because It will look shiny and pretty and be easier to clean.

B) nope its been done a thousand times. Its always a good idea to replace the o-rings when you remove the injectors, but otherwise you should be ok. Plus it gives you the opportunity to try and fix or atleast prevent an intake oil leak.

C) I wish I could be more help, but I just don't know.

Just unbolt the four bolts holding the fuel rail down then use both hands to pop (gently, dont jerk) each set (2 injectors close together, 4 sets) out of the runners, then pull the rail/injectors up and move them out of the way, you don't even need to disconnect the fuel lines. I usually rub a bit of oil on the injector o-rings before putting them back in.

Oh, and the FPR is attached to the fuel rail, no need to remove it.

Thanks for the info...they were kind of a p.i.t.a to get out, but they came out just fine. How should I go about getting some of the oil off the intake...in some parts there are dark oil parts on it. Is there any other preps I need to paint it...besides plugging holes? Thanks for the help!!
