Im trying to find the paint code for navy blue metallic. The RPO code is 28U. PPG makes NBM, but it's 200.00 for a gallon (I have their paint code). I'd like to find a little cheaper brand paint. So do any of you paint/body guys know of a cheaper brand that makes a copy of the navy blue metallic, and if so, what is the paint code?

Nah, no color change. This is going on a '64 Beetle that I'm restoring.


My car is black, so I can't get the code off it. But thanks for the pic anyway, now I'll know where my code is when I need it. Hopefully I won't ever need it, though.

I need someone with a NBM car to look at their code.

I'm also wondering if anyone knows what the paint code for NBM in a cheaper (mid priced) paint. From what I've been told, the code is different from manufacturer to manufacturer, although it's the same color (or so close you can't tell).
