Yep, there is a slight problem with pre Outlook 2003 versions of Outlook in that they don't like 2.00001 gig files. Once you break the 2 gig mark you get instant corruption of your outlook.pst file. Well, at the end of every year I normally take a good portion of my "good email" (non list email) and move it to a pst file for that year. However, I've been busy with projects and such and never got around to it. I have 80,000+ emails in my outlook.pst file and last weekend I hit the 2 gig mark and WHAM, dead email. I didn't realize this 2 gig limitation until I started researching trying to find out what happened. I had a lot of important stuff in there and no recent back-ups so I spent every minute I wasn't at work trying to recover that file. After many hours/days, I was able to recover most of my important email and am now back up and running. What did I learn... MAKE BACK-UPS OFTEN!!!

Also, this is kinda off topic so I'll close it. The only reason I went through that story above was because it was an enormous pain for me and if somebody reads this and I save them the aggravation I went through, it'll be worth it
