If you route them in the stock locations with the little metal heatshields over the wires you'll have zero problems. I have pacesetter LTs and that's what I did.

I kept my stock wires and put heat protectors around them and have had no problems so far

Don't use header wrap, it's a potential fire hazard as oil can soak into the wrap over time (Tom Bryne's car burned to the ground that way ). Also header wrap will degrade your headers over time. I run Accel 9000 heat resistant wires and have had good luck with the wires withstanding the temperature of my coated JBAs. Of course none of the wires can be touching the headers.

Since Feb, they are the stock wires with heat shields that slide over the wires, the kind you can get at Autozone

I've run the JBAs and Accel 9000's for 106,000 miles; second set of wires.

Re: pacesetters lt to hot?

no emmisions equipped, and the macs wer bad. i feel liek they wer very disorganzed compared to the pacesetters and these run cooler. the plugs r easier to get to comapred to the last if thats what ur asking.

Re: pacesetters lt to hot?

Thanks forthe feedback.
I have had hooker long tubes before, which have much better plug access than stock, but the mac mid length are even better. You can easily see and get a tool on each plug. No bad ones.
I am thinking about pacesetters.

Anyone have pics of their pacesetter long tubes?

Re: pacesetters lt to hot?

i got a few pics on my cardomain with the pacesetters. plug access is easier than the macs. i had mac mid lengths before and the headers are so complicated undertthere, its relal ya bitch to do cause the pipes r so close to the motor..pacesetter goes furrther away
