Pacesetter's inhouse ceramic coating vs. JetHot?

I am about to order a pair of Pacesetter longtubes.. just wondering if it's worth it to spend a little more dough on having them JetHot coated vs. going with their own coating. It's about a $65 difference.

I have had my pacesetters on for over a year now. love them but the coating is not that great. got them from redlineperformanceenginering.com wth the ceramic coating. So far the entire lower half of the headers are rusting like crazy. the coating it almost completely gone. top half still looks good and shiney. this is my daily driver and maybe all the rain water kinda killed the coating but it only lasted about a year.

Guess I'll go with the JetHot coated ones then. Z28Roxy's JH-coated Pacesetters have been on for like 10 months and still look great.

LPP has Stainless Steel LT's for $500. Just check the LT1 section at ls1tech.

Jet-Hot offers a nice warranty on their coating, Pacesetter does not. For the extra money, I would definitely send them over to Jet-Hot.

I've seen that thread, but I have a feeling they won't be available for quite a while yet.

i had the pacesetters with the in-house coating. Were on the car for a year before i ditched them for a turbo setup.

If I didn't know they were on my car, i wouldn't know they were ever used, coating was flawless. Only thing showing they were used was a few small scrapes from installing them.

Their "In-House" coating is not actually in house. They sent to jethot for coating then they rename it with their tough armor or whatever it is. Both jethot and pacesetter are located in Phoenix, AZ!

I dont know if jet-hot uses a different method to coat them or what, but my coating was fine on my Pacesetter LTs after about 3 years before I went turbo.

Problem is they won't stand behind it. I had a set I sent back twice....they would not pay shipping on any of it. After the second time the coating came off again I went to thermal tech coating and was informed of how they use a cheap coating. The real deal is alot more expensive. Mine were $285 but they are local....

I will never coat another set of headers unless its black, but most likely will go stainless if possible. The ceramic coating looks good but not worth a crap and with a laser heat gun egt's are the same as painted ones.
