pacesetter and y-pipe question.

I'm putting some pacesetter long tubes on my car (had hooker longtubes) and am wondering how close everything will line up? I know the pacesetters do not have a flange to bolt to like the hookers did. I

So i'm wondering how close will the pacesetters sit to where my current y-pipe is (tring to see if i'm gonna have to get a new y-pipe made).

Re: pacesetter and y-pipe question.

mainly emissions hookups. I can pass with the pacesetters w/air and egr, but not with my hooker long tubes with no hookups. I called around and got prices on having air/egr added to my hookers and it's not worth it. All the shops want me to pull the headers first (plus $200-$250 labor).

Re: pacesetter and y-pipe question.

The Hookers have the flanged y-pipe where as the Pacesetter is a slip fit style. I'm not sure exactly what the Hooker y-pipe looks like, but in order to get it to work, you would either have to cut off the flanges and have the pipe slightly expanded to slip over the header collectors or you could have flanges welded onto the headers and connect it that way. It may be easier just to buy the Pacesetter off-road y-pipe which retails for around 130.00 bucks.

I'm looking at that also. I'd have to get the pacesetter y-pipe cut so my cat's will fit in there.
