Pacesetter shorties/catback ?

I have Pacesetter Shorties on my LT1 right now. I also have a Hooker catback that I am going to be installing. Problem I am going to run into is the the length of space between the y-pipe and catback (where the cat used to be). Just need opinions/advice as to what I need to use to get everything to meet up. I believe I need about 18" on 3" pipe. I will also be installing a cutout somewhere around this area of the exhaust.

Thanks in advance

I did the same exact thing as you. What I did was cut the ball flanged end of the cat off and had a muffler shop weld that on to a 3" piece of straight pipe...think it was like 18 1/2" long. Other end slipped right over y-pipe...worked great!!! Just curious...what times have you ran off the spray?

thanks man, thats what i was thinking i might have to do....anyone know if i would be able to use an install kit like part no 30045 on slp's site??

13.90s on motor WITHOUT headers,....not too bad for just gears, cutout, cai, and nittos...especially in 4500 DA weather. haha
