Pacesetter longtubes on a 1993...

I am really getting pissed of at Mac Headers. I have been on back order for almost 3 months..and they said it will be at least another 2-3 weeks before my goddamn headers ship. .

At this point, I am ready to ditch these stupid headers and go with something else... thinking of Pacesetters. However, the only offer an emissions long tube for 94-95. What would be needed to get the EGR and AIR stuff to work right on a 93? has anyone done it before? Or should I just clear say screw that also, and wait for macs? The only reason im not going with another header like jet-hot is because i dont want to spend near 800+ bucks on headers and a y-pipe.

did you order mac shorties or mids?...if you ordered shorties cancel it, f them ....pacesetter doesnt make emissions legal LT's for 93's, but emissions arent really important IMO ....lookin thru my latest summit has the coated pacesetter race LT's for $415 and y-pipe for another 130...btw, checkout www.speeddensity.org, its a place just for us 93 guys

Macs are only mids, no shorties.

It was the mac-mids, thats all i thought they made. .
Hmm..how the hell would i pass inspection without the emission hookups? I would get cats welded in...
I see you are in NJ..what did you do to screw the emissions stuff? or are you just being facetious?

For what it's worth, I have yet for a DMV inspection agency to crack the hood on my car. Not gonna happen either.

You may want to consider NOT ditched the EGR ... The car will run better with it hooked up. I think I read it on Shoebox's site a while ago. Something to look into before you start ripping parts off. However ... Since I have no cats, my AIR pump and fittings may be going soon. Over winter when I do my RR's I guess.

won't removing the EGR and AIR things set off check engine lights? or mess up the emissions readings? if not, ill just stick them on, put cats on, and ill be good as golden
