pacesetter long tube problems

im having trouble putting the alternator bracket back on the bolt on the header. and also the angles on the bracket no longer match up to the alternator. it looks like a little bending would fix it but the biggest problem is getting the bracket back on first. any suggestions or input. thanks.

Where does the header interfere with the alternator? I've never heard of an issue even remotely similar.... pics? Do you mean the accessory bracket or the little v shaped part that goes on the back of the alternator?

Nobody re-uses that brace once they have started molesting their motor. You wont need it.

I tossed mine when I did my long tubes a few years ago.

I ahve never seen that bracket used with headers. Consider it "weight reduction", lol. The alternator will be fine as long as the other bolts and brackets are tight.
