Unhappy pacesetter help!!!sorry so long

just finished intsalling my new coated pacesetter headers. took 2hr to install. my pass header hits my under body badly and my driver header is so close to the brake lines and brake line brkt bolt that if engine was to move stud would go through header, brake the brake lines and pass head would just crack and propably brake against body. also driver header is sitting above tunnel brace possably y pipe would not even go on. i just installed this engine poss my problem is the new poly motor mounts? i called summit they said they are the right mounts. i installed them correctly the clam shells closed with no problem. summit stated poss bad weld job on header? they will send a new set but who want to remove and reinstall again. any ideas?? thanks in advance for help

Re: pacesetter help!!!sorry so long

I had the same problem with afr 210 and tpis headers, wrapped a heavy nylon strap around header and used a large bar pulling from underneath (drive on hoist) my headers collecters were hitting the floor bent them down about an inch and a half. No problems after that.

Re: pacesetter help!!!sorry so long

Did you install both pass and driver side mounts?

If so then the stock mounts should lower the motor some.

Re: pacesetter help!!!sorry so long

same company put all three mounts in at same time. i though is was my trans mount so i unbolted the trans mount and let down a bit. if i let the trans down 1-2 inches then the headers would be ok
