Pacesetter exhaust....

http://pacesetterexhaust.com/camaro.htm

I have the un-coated shorty header+Y-Pipe package with the cat-back kit below. How does they quality seem for the price? Anyone have this combo? Any guesses on how it will sound?(please tell me it will be louder than stock!) Thanks, Brian Kaiser.

They suck. Get the Pacesetter long tubes from www.redlineperformanceengineering.com and a cat-back of your choice (I prefer Hooker). May also want to get the Pacesetter Y-pipe if you can't get one custom made.

Why do they suck. I mean they gotta atleast be better than stock. Im not looking for a titanium exhaust or anything, but im looking to add a little flow for my 383. Im more concerned with the sound of the system. Does anyone know if it will be louder than stock? I have a hotcam if thats a sound factor.

It will be louder, but the quality of those headers sucks....go with the long tubes.

Shorty's may help on a stock motor, but if you have a 383 you definitely need a long tube or at least midlength header. That 383 is a big breathing motor and shorty pacesetters will choke it.

Nobody has used this system? IM just looking to find out the sound that they give off. I have a LT-4 HOTCAM with a 383 stroker.

I had shorties on my 383 stroker that was in my 1990 truck until I could afford longtubes (about 2 months). The difference in sound and power was HUGE when I made the switch, that's why i recommend selling your shorties on the board and getting a set of pacesetter longtubes. They are only 289.00 on ebay and from what I've seen are a great set of headers.
