I am gonna go with pacesetter long tubes this summer, and get them coated by either jet-hot or a place in OKC. The armor coat ive heard really sucks. I have bbk shorties right now. Im planning on going with a cam so ill need the lt's. The long tubes really help out if u get a cam if that helps any. The bbks have been decent, there were decent gains, dont have numbers since i havent dynoed in a long time. -Michael

The ad on ebay says "THESE HEADERS ARE VERY EASY TO INSTALL". It also says they are "excellent quality headers". I'm not sure I believe either claim!
But personally I wouldn't put uncoated headers on my car.

I'm a turd in the military, I probably make about as much as you, just thinking you will be much happier if you wait a month or so and spend another $100-200. The Jet-hots are proven time and time again, yea you could get the others now, then they will leak, rust, not fit right, make less power etc. I learned after having a couple of these cars that its best to do things right the first time, even if you have to wait a little bit.

Another thought, have you set aside $$ for other neccesities?
Gaskets, you wont want to use the ****ty paper ones they give?
Bolts, don't want to use the cheap ones they send you, they will rust all over your shiny new headers?
O2 extenders? Youl probably need at least 1
Plug Wires? You probably wont be able to use the regular ones with headers, best to go with the OTVC kit.
Plugs? Your allready in there....
Heat shielding for the wires? Your wires will be right next to those hot headers, X10 if you get the un-coated version.
Tuning? A LT4 KM at the very LEAST.

Just trying to make a point that to do it right will cost a couple extra $$, and you might need to save a little more before you do em.
In any case, I hope it dosn't sound like I'm a know-it-all or that I'm trying to bash/flame you, I just hate regreting not doing things right.

I have Pacesetter headers that I got on ebay (not the long tubes) they did come with the y-pipe, bolts gaskets etc.
The installation wasn't too bad, HOWEVER we barely got the drivers side on because of bad bolt hole alignment.
The gasket to the y pipe on the drivers side went quickly(about 100 miles)
They seem to be alright now, 2000miles later; just have to keep tightening them all the time. But I knew THAT about headers before I put them in.....sure do love that power though

Got an email back on the long tubes from pacesetter. They dyno'd it on a 95 stock z28 which is basically what I have an got a 30 rwhp gain. That sounds realy tempting for the price.

go for'em man... i'll be buying them too... they look like a real good deal... for like 350 or w/e it comes out to, thats a good deal

or look for used LTs from jethot at the for sale...

i'm right up there with u, that 100 bux matters alot to me, and i want LTs real bad, so i dont mind about getting uncoated ones from a less known company for 100-150 cheaper...
