So the smaller of the two hoses that comes from the very front of the power steering reservoir rubbed on the header and spat out some fluid. Does anyone have the part number for this hose or possibly the hose sitting around. This sucks

 

Kinda funny, same thing happened to me about a month ago.

The local auto parts store got it, the Power Steering Return hose, and it was made by "Powercraft". Sticker on the box shows "SKU#18070551 MFG# 91803". They did not have the OEM replacement.

You can just tell them it is the return hose and they can look it up for you. They did not have it in stock so I ghetto-rigged mine and cut out the burnt part and connected the ends with a piece of pipe and hose clamps. Since it is a return hose it does not hold any incredible pressure. It held up for the two days I needed it to for the new one to be overnighted to me, but of course you would not want to run it like that for too long.

 

your the man, I am going to try the chevy dealer near me first since they are one of the major distributors for new england so if somone has it they will. if not then I will have to go the non oem route you did. What "local auto parts store" do you mean? pep boys - auto zone -napa? ??
