Oxygen Sensor

I got my car scanned today and I came up with code 44 (left side O2 sensor) and code 32 (EGR). My question is about the O2 sensor. What are my options with replacing this? Just a new O2? Or can I get an O2 Sim on there?

Re: Oxygen Sensor

Your car is a 95 so you only have 2 oxygen sensors, both before the cat. The sims are used for LS1 cars that have after-cat sensors. Get that sensor replaced with a Delco part from Jason or Dal.

Re: Oxygen Sensor

Code 44 does not indicate that the O2 is faulty or slow to respond, but that you are running lean in the left bank, hence you do not need to change the sensor. Check for anything that might cause a lean condition, i.e. a stuck open injector or worn/damaged ignition components.

Quick FYI...all 96+ cars (and 95 Cali cars) have dual cats, not just LS1s.

Re: Oxygen Sensor

^^^^^ You mean, O2 sensors after the cat. Yes, your right about the duel cats, but the subject was O2 sensors.

Re: Oxygen Sensor

Thanks for the info everyone. Would having my car tuned 'possibly' take care of this problem?
