overheating 94

Angry overheating 94

Any suggestions on a overheating problem for a 94 z-28
My cooling fans come on but then they shutdown, I recall reading somewhere that someone wired there fans to run all the time is this true

do a search for the "fan switch mod". This should give you some good info on how to do it. You can also have the PCM in your car programmed to have the fans on a lot sooner.

I had the same problem. Put in a new thermostat, really easy to do and only about 5 bucks, and change your radiator cap(it actually does more than you think). THen if that doesn't work, pressure test it, you can get the pressure testing tool from a parts store that rents out tools. MOst will rent it fora depsoit that you get back. I Just re did my whole cooling system before I got mine to work. Everything from all new hoses(some of those are pretty expensive, I know one was $50 bucks) to a new radiator and water pump. Me and camaros keeping cool don't mix!!!
